1. Preliminary note

Gebr. Reinfurt GmbH & Co KG, Niederhoferstr. 105, 97222 Rimpar, Germany ("we") are very pleased about your interest in our company profile. For us, data protection has a high priority. We take your privacy very seriously and would like to inform you with this privacy policy which personal data is processed when you visit our LinkedIn company profile, to what extent and for what purpose.


2. Joint controllers

We and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (LinkedIn), Wilton Place 2, Dublin 2, Ireland are joint controllers with regard to the data processing on our company profile in accordance with Art. 4 No. 7 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We have entered into a joint controller agreement with LinkedIn. This agreement is available at: https://legal.linkedin.com/pages-joint-controller-addendum.

In this agreement, we and LinkedIn have agreed, among other things, that

  • LinkedIn will ensure that LinkedIn users are informed about the processing of their personal data and will assist them in exercising their rights of access and to erasure;
  • the Irish Data Protection Authority monitors data processing by LinkedIn Page Insights.

3. Data processing on LinkedIn


3.1 General
LinkedIn is generally responsible for the collection and further processing of personal user data on LinkedIn websites. Please note that LinkedIn collects and processes certain information about your visit to our LinkedIn company profile even if you do not have a LinkedIn user account or are not logged in to LinkedIn. 3.2 Purely informational visit to our LinkedIn company profile
When using our LinkedIn company profile for informational purposes only, i.e., when you are neither logged in nor otherwise submitting information, we do not collect any data from you.

However, we point out that LinkedIn automatically collects and stores information in the server log files that your browser transmits to LinkedIn. This is usually data that is technically necessary to display the website to you and to ensure stability and security.

These are usually:

  • Referrer (previously visited website)
  • Requested web page or file
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Device type used
  • Time of access
  • IP address

3.3 Cookies
When you visit our LinkedIn company profile, LinkedIn also sets cookies on your device. Cookies are small files that are stored on a visitor's device (e.g. computer or smartphone).

3.4 Your profile, contact requests and contributions
For us as operators of a LinkedIn company profile, only your public profile on LinkedIn is visible. What information is viewable there depends on your settings in your profile. In addition, we process your personal data (such as your name and the content of your messages, inquiries or other contributions to us or on our site) when you contact us via our LinkedIn company profile.

We process this data for the purpose of processing your contributions accordingly or, if necessary, responding to them. This processing is based - depending on the reason for and content of the conversation - either on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR, in particular in order to be able to contact you in response to your inquiries or contributions, or on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR, if your inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract with us.

3.5 Page Insights
In addition, LinkedIn provides us with Page Insights. When you as a member visit, follow or otherwise interact with our LinkedIn company profile, LinkedIn processes personal data to provide us with Page Insights. In particular, LinkedIn processes data that you have provided as a LinkedIn member, such as your position in the company, country, industry, duration or your employment with the company, company size and employment status. In addition, LinkedIn processes information about how you interact with our LinkedIn company profile, e.g. whether you follow our profile.

LinkedIn only provides us with aggregated, i.e. anonymized, data as part of Page Insights. LinkedIn does not provide us with any personal data of members in the Page Insights - regardless of the status as joint controller. LinkedIn also does not enable us to link the information from Page Insights to individual members.

This data processing is based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR, in particular in order to recognize usage preferences (e.g. number of so-called followers, number of views of individual page areas, user statistics by age, geography and language) and to be able to adapt and improve the offer on our LinkedIn company profile as closely as possible to the target group.


4. Transfer of personal data to third countries

Some of the information collected may also be processed outside the European Union by LinkedIn in the U.S. The U.S. are currently considered by the European Commission as a country that does not have an adequate level of protection for personal data. To ensure an adequate level of data protection, LinkedIn bases such transfers on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. However, it is possible that authorities in the U.S., including law enforcement and intelligence agencies, may access or otherwise become aware of your personal data and you may not have a legal remedy for this.


5. Data deletion and archiving

We store your personal data on our systems, i.e. outside LinkedIn, if and as long as it is required for the purposes of collection or if there are legal retention obligations.


6. Your rights

You have the following rights with respect to us regarding personal data concerning you:

6.1 Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
In principle, you have the right to receive information about the points mentioned in Art. 15 GDPR. In addition, you have the right to request a copy of your personal data in accordance with Art. 15 para. 3 GDPR.


6.2 Right to rectification or erasure (Art. 16 and 17 GDPR)
You have the right to have inaccurate personal data concerning you corrected. In addition, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data if further processing is no longer necessary, the processing is unlawful or you have revoked a relevant consent.


6.3 Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
You have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted, i.e. to prevent further processing for the time being, if the conditions in Art. 18 GDPR are met.


6.4 Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
Within the limits of Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive your personal data in a machine-readable format in order to forward it or have it forwarded to another controller, if necessary.

6.5 Right to lodge a complaint
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR.

6.6 Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data relating to you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 para. 1 lit. e) or f) GDPR; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions.

We will no longer process the personal data concerning you unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

If the personal data concerning you is processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing; this also applies to profiling, to the extent it is related to such direct marketing.

If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, the personal data concerning you will no longer be processed for these purposes.
